Speculations are rife that Jennifer Lawrence might star in Shekhar Kapur’s upcoming Bollywood film Paani.
The American Hustle star, who has received rave reviews for her mass popularity and acting prowess, might be cast opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, Universal Pictures reported.
Paani is expected to be an expensive film with a budget of over Rs. 150 crore, and the producers believe that a name like Lawrence’s will help in making the film popular worldwide.
While Jennifer Lawrence made the first move in kissing Amy Adams in “American Hustle,” it wasn’t her idea for their characters to lock lips.
“My character is really strong and her character is kind of crazy, and I was thinking, ‘Why would I let her leave?’” Adams explained on “Chelsea Lately” Wednesday about coming up with the idea to have Lawrence smooch her.
“I really want to tell her something and I thought, ‘What’s the craziest thing she could have done to me?’” she recalled. “I thought she should kiss me.”
The steamy scene lived up to its hype as the two Hollywood beauties had their intimate moment. Now, the Golden Globe nominee for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture takes credit as the mastermind behind the memorable kiss.
“Jen was open,” she said about Lawrence’s acceptance of her concept. “She’s open to anything.”
The 39-year-old actress plays the girlfriend of the Academy Award-winning actress’ character’s husband played by Christian Bale. She previously described the experience of lip-locking with one of the biggest movie stars of today.
“She does a great job at it! She has very soft lips,” she told “Extra.” ”She’s a really awesome woman. Everyone’s chemistry is so electric in this.”
Adams added, “The volatile energy between Jennifer and I, it almost borders on intimacy because it’s so immediate, and so there and then she kisses me.”
But the appreciation of the scene isn’t one-sided, as Lawrence, 23, also enjoyed it.
Nearly a year after the fall seen around the world, Jennifer Lawrence is blaming food for her mishap at the 2013 Oscars.
In a new interview with W Magazine, Lawrence reveals that when she headed to the stage to accept her Best Actress award for Silver Linings Playbook, cake was on her mind.
“I was at the Oscars, waiting to hear
if my name was called, and I kept thinking, Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk,” she says. “I thought, Why is ‘cakewalk’ stuck in my head? And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, ‘Kick, walk, kick, walk.’ You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that’s why I fell.”
Lawrence infamously told Ryan Seacrest on the Oscars red carpet earlier in the evening that she was hungry. It looks like she never got any food in between that interview and her acceptance speech.
Elizabeth Banks doesn’t know how Jennifer Lawrence copes with fame.
The ‘Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ actress doesn’t think she gets recognised in real lifebecause she looks so different ”on screen”, and admitted she feels sorry for her 23-year-old co-star.
She told the Mail on Sunday newspaper’s You magazine: ”I have a little less heat on me because I am so recognisable on screen, thank goodness.
”I can’t imagine what it’s like for Jennifer Lawrence every day. Being that young, I just don’t know how she copes with all the attention.”
While her co-star has shot to fame at a young age Elizabeth, 39, is grateful for her own ”slow and steady” rise to the top.
She explained: ”I have had ‘moments’ before, but they haven’t changed my life dramatically.
”I am very much a ‘slow and steady wins the race’ kind of person.”
Jennifer has spoke about dealing with fame in the past, and insisted she has constantly made sure she’s stayed grounded.
She previously said: ”I act like an old woman; I’m in bed by 11pm at the latest.
”I prefer that to hanging around Hollywood parties at night … I still live in the same three-bedroom apartment I had when I moved to LA six years ago.
”I still look for bargains in the supermarket. When I go somewhere these days I let a valet park my car. That costs $6!”
I’m sorry for no updating but I’m working on the new design and soon I’ll put it online. I updated the gallery and I’ll continue tomorrow. Stay tuned!
“It’s got to be Jennifer Lawrence,” she replied when asked to name her icon of 2013. “I watched her go up to collect her award at the Oscars and trip over, but the way she handled it was so cool, she’s a rock star.”
Actress Jennifer Lawrence has confessed that she gets inspiration from Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett.
The 23-year-old said that the two have been her role models and she would like to live her life like Streep, almost following in her footsteps.
“I don’t know if I’d necessarily call her an idol or a role model, but someone I admire, who’s an incredible actress, is Cate Blanchett. I think sheÂ’s extraordinary,” Lawerence said in a statement.
“Meryl Streep as well, not just because of her acting but because she’s Meryl Streep and I’d like to live my life the way she has lived hers.
“The way she went away with her kids, we never saw pictures of her babies. I respect that a lot. And it’s not like I’m that way, because generally I want to do tons of things. I want to produce, I want to do this or that and have a heart attack at 25. But she’s only an actress and I like that,” she added.
