Firstly, I would like to thank our reader, Nathália for send me this information. Thanks! :)
Movie star Jennifer Lawrence attended the Elvis Costello show Tuesday night (July 19th) at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in downtown Asheville. Lawrence is around town filming The Hunger Games movie. She was nominated for an Oscar last year for her performance in Winter’s Bone.
Here’s a photo of Jennifer’s fan standing next to her. To see full size, visit photo gallery.
As you probably noticed, I’ve just put brand new layout on the site. The previous one was dark and colourless, so I decided to make something far brighter. I picked pink and purple out, though it wasn’t my first choice, I hope you like it.
Me and Josh are working on the message board, so I hope we could have you over soon. Meanwhile, I encourage you to follow JenniferLawrence.org on Twitter and Tumblr. And one more thing, I’m still looking for any kind of affiliates, so if you have a fansite related to Jen (dedicated to her co-stars) or The Hunger Games (e.g. fansite devoted to Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, the cast, etc.) and you would like to be elite or top affiliates, send me an e-mail at contact@jenniferlawrence.org or fill out a form here.
In the end, I would like to thank my sister Kalina for making a coding and all her help with the site. And you, readership for visiting the site! :)
I’ve just added to the photo gallery scans from Entertainment Weekly “Men Of The Hunger Games” issue. I decided to add all pages, not only these with Jennifer, because I thought that will be better way to read full article. So if you are curious about production process of The Hunger Games and you want to know what, mostly Josh Hutcherson has to say, view scans.
Entertainment Weekly has just posted new stills from The Hunger Games and I added one of them to the photo gallery. As we see, the photo shows Katniss (Jennifer) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth) in the forest. It’s better version than that screencap from E!News. Take a look!
Hello everybody, yesterday Entertainment Weekly posted its new cover featuring Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson as Gale and Peeta. Guys talk the magazine about their roles and Josh even mentioned Jennifer. What did he say?
We have this fake dummy on the set, this really gnarled-up, scary-looking thing,” Josh says of his antics with Jen. “The other day I put it in her bathroom trailer, and she told me she actually peed her pants, she was so scared. I’m sure she’s going to pay me back.
But that’s not all. E! News brings you pics from EW Mag’s Men of The Hunger Games spread, including first movie stills! In pictures, we can see not only Josh and Liam, but Jennifer as well. Watch the video below!
Take a look at the exclusive motion poster of The Hunger Games featuring a brand-new (and highly combustible) logo based on the story’s iconic mockingjay pin. The mockingjay is a creature that becomes a symbol for Katniss and the rebellion she inspires.
The Hunger Games is the film about Katniss Everdeen, a 16-year-old who lives in District 12, a poor area in post-apocalyptic America, who volunteers herself for the Hunger Games when her little sister’s name is called by random draw. The Games are nationally televised and feature 24 kids aged 12-18 battling to the death, with only one victor emerging alive.
Aiding and fighting Katniss along the way are a cast that includes Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley, Lenny Kravitz and Toby Jones.
“The Hunger Games”, which is to have no presence at Comic-Con, will be released on March 23, 2012.
Edit: I’ve just added the poster to our photo gallery, you can check it out here.
And another release date, this time it comes to Jodie Foster’s movie – The Beaver. As far as I’m concerned, I can’t wait to see this movie, not only for Jennifer, but I’m also curious about Mel Gibson’s comeback. But we have to wait until the end of August… (Source: The330.com) The official word: Two-time Academy Award® winner Jodie Foster (Silence of the Lambs, The Accused) directs and co-stars with two-time Academy Award® winner Mel Gibson (Braveheart – Best Picture and Best Director) in The Beaver, a compelling and original film, slated to arrive on Blu-ray and DVD August 23rd from Summit Entertainment.
The Beaver — which Rolling Stone calls “heartfelt and often painfully funny” – tells the emotional story of a once successful man named Walter Black (Gibson) so plagued by his own demons that he resorts to the use of a beaver hand puppet in order turn his life around and reconnect with his family. Academy Award nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) and Anton Yelchin (Star Trek) co-star in the film which is both a darkly comic journey of self-discovery and a solemn ode to the strength of family.
The Blu-ray and DVD contain special features that include audio commentary with Foster; deleted scenes; and “Everything is Going to Be O.K.,” a featurette about the making of the film.
(Source: TheHDRoom) Fox has announced via Crave that Matthew Vaughn’s critically praised X-Men: First Class starring James McAvoy, Kevin Bacon, Rose Byrne and Jennifer Lawrence is headed to Blu-ray and DVD on September 9.
The announcement comes just a couple days before Comic-Con kicks off and the timing is no coincidence. Fox will be heavily promoting the X-Men: First Class home video release at the Con by offering the first 1,000 fans who pre-order the Blu-ray or DVD version a free shirt that either features Charles Xavier (McAvoy) or Erik Lehnsherr (Fassbender).
What shirt you get will be determined by which cover you choose. Fox is creating two limited edition covers; one featuring Charles and the good mutants, and the other with Erik and the not-so-good ones. Crave’s article neglects to spell out what makes them limited so we’ll have to wait until Fox chimes in for more clarification on that front.
What they do tell us is that the Blu-ray edition will include “hours” of supplements such as ten X-Men Digital comics including a never-before-seen backstory comic, and a Cerebro Mutant Tracker interactive video database spanning all the X-Men films. Again, a complete list of extras will have to wait until Fox’s press release goes out.
CNN has done an interview with Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer’s co-star in upcoming The Hunger Games movie. During the interview, Kravitz talks about Cinna – the character he plays, novel written by Suzanne Collins and Jennifer Lawrence. Read what he said on Jen :)
CNN:Have you met Jennifer Lawrence? Kravitz:Yes, I know her actually because she did “X-Men: First Class” with my daughter, [Zoë Kravitz], so she spent a lot of time in my house in Paris when they were filming in London. That was another thing about casting me: [Ross] said, I heard that Jennifer was in your house all summer and that you were taking care of the kids and they were cooking. I had the whole cast, like six, seven kids in my house on the movie so I got to know all of them before I had even seen them in action. So Jennifer and I ended up becoming friendly. She’s really sweet. And then I saw her in “Winter’s Bone” and I was like, “Oh, wow. This girl is for real.”
It seems that Fox is discussing sequel potential for X-Men: First Class! Today I found this article on Screenrant.com and I’d like to encourage you to read it. There are also slow news (Unfortunately, there are no news, nor photos…), so I’m thinking about doing new layout for the site. Would it be a good idea to put new layout up? Let me know.
In a bit of non-news, the executives behind-the-scenes at Twentieth Century Fox are reportedly discussing sequel potential for X-Men: First Class, a film that so far has achieved the highest critical acclaim against its comic book movie competition this year. Producers Lauren Shuler Donner and Bryan Singer, director Matthew Vaughn and most of the cast have already opened in interviews up about their desires and ideas for a sequel, and since First Class made money and fans ate it up, of course it’s getting one. It’s just a matter of when.
Both Singer and Vaughn have plenty of ideas for X-Men: First Class 2 which would likely keep the series set in the ’60s, but based a few years later, again tied into real historical events. When you think about it, they could go on with many more films before needing to introduce some of the characters we met in Bryan Singer’s first X-Men film (Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm, etc.).
With The Wolverine beginning production in October (according to star Hugh Jackman) and X-Men Origins: Deadpool already have a script, Ryan Reynolds starring and Tim Miller directing, a sequel to First Class will likely come after those two projects. There’s also the X-Men 4 that Donner keeps mentioning…
In Depression-era North Carolina, the future of George Pemberton's timber empire becomes complicated when it is learned that his wife, Serena, cannot bear children.
Did you know that...?
Jennifer recommended Bradley Cooper, who she had worked with previously on Silver Linings Playbook, for the project.
Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. There are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and they are the faces of that rebellion.
Did you know that...?
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was filmed in Hawaii and Atlanta.
Incredible! Jennifer Lawrence picked up the Oscar tonight for Best Actress. Although she tripped up the stairs, (classic Jennifer) she executed a flawless (and endearing!) speech.

Dior's Creative Director, Raf Simons about Jennifer in an official statement
"Like everyone else, I first discovered Jennifer Lawrence in the roles she played in action movies. I was, of course, struck by her incredible on-screen presence in these blockbuster films, but also impressed by her powerful interpretations of subtler, more rounded characters. Her youth and her classic beauty, but also her force of character and the complexity she's capable of embodying at such a young age, are, for me, both unique and very moving."
Jennifer Lawrence is the newest muse of French fashion house Christian Dior. She will appear in upcoming ads for the label’s Miss Dior handbag range next spring, taking over from Mila Kunis, who has starred in the Miss Dior campaign for the past two seasons. We can't wait to see results of their collaboration!
