She’s Hollywood’s hottest property, but isn’t letting it go to her head. Meet Jennifer Lawrence, a very normal superstar…

Amid the plastic fantasticness of Hollywood, where celebrity publicists pull the strings and much of reality is stage-managed, Jennifer Lawrence’s unique brand of clumsy, carefree perfection has been a breath of fresh air.

She drinks, she swears, she totally speaks her mind. She admits she hasn’t got a clue about fashion and that she only exercises so she can eat pizza for breakfast.

And of course, she trips and falls in front of a global audience of, ooh, only hundreds of millions of people during the biggest moment of her career, and doesn’t even attempt to style it out.

“That,” she says following her stumble en route to collecting her Best Actress Oscar for her breathtaking performance in Silver Linings Playbook, “was embarrassing.”

The adorably garbled, breathless and entirely unprepared acceptance speech that followed, served only to make us fall a little bit more in love with her. She’s sparky, quirky and stupidly talented and, at the age of 22, arguably Tinseltown’s most bankable star.

But while everything around her might be changing, the multimillionairess remains the same down-to-earth girl from Kentucky who still can’t justify purchasing anything from what she sees as over-priced hotel mini-bars.

“I just constantly feel so lucky, that I don’t really have time to feel cocky,” she says. “I was raised to have value for money, to have respect for money, even though you have a lot of it.

That’s why mini-bars are difficult, because it’s like yes, I can afford a $6 Snickers bar, but there’s just something wrong with that! I still drive my same car I’ve been driving for a long time and I haven’t bought a house yet.

Definitely my family is not the kind of family that would ever let me turn into an asshole or anything like that, so I am fortunate to have them.”

Jennifer received her first Oscar nomination in 2011 for independent drama and surprise hit Winter’s Bone, but it was her subsequent starring roles as Raven Darkholme in X-Men: First Class later that year and Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games in 2012 that catapulted her into the international consciousness. Follow-ups to both films are underway.

However, it was romcom-drama Silver Linings Playbook, in which she took on the part of widowed sex addict Tiffany Maxwell, that, as well as the Oscar, scooped her Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards, plus a BAFTA nomination.

Despite her success, she admits she still finds awards ceremonies terrifying.

“I’m afraid I’m going to go my whole life being scared like a chihuahua,” she says. “It’s not my comfort zone. Making movies is where I belong. I shouldn’t be heard just talking. So, when I’m doing movies, I’m really happy. That’s where I’m comfortable, that’s my home. When you put me on a red carpet or on a stage, I turn into chihuahua Jennifer.”

She’s not comfortable with fame either, and dreads reading her interviews. She’s only too aware that, however refreshing, she’s yet to learn how to filter her thoughts.

“I have no control over what comes out of my mouth,” she says. “I would probably turn into a mute if I read what I said!”

Although Jennifer didn’t show up on Comic-Con, there is something new releated to her again! Relativity Media, film studio that Jennifer upcoming thriller “House at the End of the Street” is distributed by, decided to launch viral marketing campaign in San Diego. They handed out promotional flashlights that, when projected against a wall, reveal the phone number (773) 451 9439. If you call this number, you will hear Jennifer’s voice crying for help. After hanging up, you will receive a text message with a link to new clip, where her character, Elissa, investigates a creepy cellar (you can watch it below). You can also reply to the message and get a reply in return saying: “Thanks for your help. I’ll text you again when I’m in trouble.”

I’ve just found translated interview with Jennifer for German ‘Interview’ magazine. I really encourage you to read it although it is not her the most entertaining and the most interesting interview which she has ever made. Jennifer talked to Drew Barrymore about various things — living out of the suitcase, being a mom (if she wouldn’t have been an actress), how a guy should ask her out on a date, which painter (dead or alive) could paint her portrait and which male/female character she would like to be if she lived in a novel. Drew Barrymore: I’ve just been in the vegetable garden, my hands are still dirty. How are you?
Jennifer Lawrence: I’m fine. I just drank three cups of coffee and am a bit jittery now.
DB: I know what you mean. I’ve switched to ice tea to reduce my caffeine intake.
JL: I’d die without coffee.
DB: I know, coffee helps to make the worst situations bearable. Where are you at the moment?
JL: In Minnesota, in my hotel room.
DB: I’m so excited that I get to interview you.
JL: I’m so glad that you were willing to do so. Jodie Foster interviewed me in my previous Interview spread, but that was for the American edition.
DB: I recently met her in a restaurant, my whole body was shaking. She’s amazing. I’ve admired her my entire life…
JL: …and then you meet her and she is so normal. And wonderful. And nice. As if she didn’t even know that she’s our idol.
DB: I always like that the best. There is nothing worse than meeting one of your heroes and then be disappointed by them.
JL: I know. I’ve just met John Stamos, you know, the uncle of the Olsens’ in Full House. I had a little breakdown because I was so excited. He was so charming – if he hadn’t been charming, I would have never recovered from that. It would have ruined my life. Can you imagine: you meet Uncle Jesse and he ISN’T nice?

Jennifer Lawrence had a pet goat when she was growing up.

The 21-year-old actress was raised in Kentucky, America, with her two brothers. She knew she wanted to act by the time she was 14 and still finds it strange how much the decision to move to New York City and find an agent changed he life.

“It seems so weird that it happened. I grew up in such a normal family. OK, we weren’t that normal – I had a goat for a pet – but we were semi-normal. And then we moved to New York and it happened piece by piece,” she recalled to Look magazine.

Jennifer was nominated for an Oscar for her part in Winter’s Bone and has also been praised for her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games. She doesn’t let success get to her though, explaining she still has the same dreams she did when she was a little girl.

“Having a family and being a mom,” she explained. “I don’t lie around thinking about my career aspirations.”
