Lionsgate will bring exclusive video of ?The Hunger Games: Catching Fire? to Comic-Con, the studio announced on Wednesday. Lionsgate is the first film studio to reveal its plans for the fan confab in July; its panel will take place Saturday July 20.
Lionsgate’s decision to bring ?The Hunger Games? is a no-brainer. The first film was one of the most successful films in recent years, catering to the often underserved but equally rabid female fans who swarm the San Diego Convention Center every summer.
Yet it remains unclear whether ?Hunger Games? star Jennifer Lawrence will be in attendance, as Wednesday?s announcement merely said ?talent from both films will be in attendance.?
A spokesperson for Lionsgate had no comment when TheWrap inquired, and Lawrence’s publicist said it had yet to be determined as she is currently filming the latest X-Men movie, “Days of Future Past.”
It’s finally official! First full-lenght Catching Fire trailer will debut on?San Diego Comic Con – July 20. There’s no information about Jennifer atending to the event, but we keep our finger crossed for that!
The trailer probably will be released online soon after.
The first full-length trailer of Catching Fire is going to be realised in just a month! Are you excited!?

“Hunger Games” star Josh Hutcherson, who plays the Peeta point of the franchise’s central Peeta-Katniss-Gale love triangle, discussed the development of that romantic dynamic in the “Catching Fire” sequel during an interview with “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on June 19.
“I can’t divulge any kind of plot details,” he said, “but it’s up and down. Katniss and Peeta’s relationship is very complicated. It has a lot of little things that need to be worked out, but it’s good. People, I think, will be very satisfied with it.”
Hutcherson, for one, certainly doesn’t mind locking lips with co-star Jennifer Lawrence, who plays bow-toting heroine Katniss Everdeen.
“I’d say there’s a natural stirring that happens in your body,” the actor admitted. “If you’re in the moment and you’re in the scene, then naturally whatever naturally happens is what’s supposed to happen.”
Continuing to fill her slate with a mix of prestige and commercial projects, Jennifer Lawrence is attached to star and produce ?Rules of Inheritance? for FilmNation.
Susanne Bier will direct with Abi Morgan penning the script.
Story is based on Claire Bidwell Smith?s powerful and honest memoir about a young woman who loses her family but finds herself in the process. Besides Lawrence, Bruce Cohen will also produce.
FilmNation?s EVP, Worldwide Production Allison Silver brought the project into FilmNation, which negotiated its deal with CAA. CAA will also package the project and represent the film?s domestic distribution rights.
The project would be the first film Lawrence would produce who after a whirlwind 2012 with huge success at the box office with ?The Hunger Games? and an Oscar on ?Silver Linings Playbook?, Lawrence is now looking for a little more creative control on the projects she is involved in.
