X-Men: First Class will hit US cinemas on June 1st, is directed by Matthew Vaughn and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult, Kevin Bacon, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Lucas Till and Ray Wise.
Plot: “X-Men: First Class” charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

Closing out the week with a final television appearance, Jennifer Lawrence was spotted leaving the London Hotel in New York City en route to NBC Studios on Friday afternoon (May 20). The 20-year-old actress continued to show off her newly-darkened brunette locks as she popped into “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” to promote “X-Men: First Class” – which hits theaters on June 3rd.
Candids: in New York City, May 20 (x08)
During the candid interview with Fallon, Miss Lawrence spoke about a number of topics including her family?s iPhone game, her new hair color and the soon-to-be-released comic book based film.
(EW.com) The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence will play a young Southern mother in Sissy Spacek?s directorial debut Sweet Tea.
?It?s a drama but it?s kind of a down south love story drama,? Lawrence tells EW exclusively. ?About a mother who gets married young and meets another man and starts thinking that maybe she made a mistake.?
Sweet Tea is scheduled to go into production within a week or two after Lawrence wraps The Hunger Games, Gary Ross? adaptation of Suzanne Collins? beloved dystopian YA novel which started filming last week in North Carolina.
?Right after!? Lawrence cheerfully moans. ?I was like damnnnnnn. When I read the script and I loved it I was like ?Ohhhhh! Because I knew it was going to have to be directly after and I?m just going to be exhausted but I can?t help it. I love it.?
The Oscar nominee Lawrence (Winter?s Bone) finds herself in high demand right now, in the lucky position of turning jobs down.
?If Hunger Games goes well, I can just do the things that I really want,? she says. ?If the scripts are not what I absolutely love I don?t have to do them. I can just rest. So that?s what I keep saying to scripts. It?s good but not better than sleep.?
But the Sweet Tea script, written by Blood Diamond scribe C. Gaby Mitchell, won her over, to say nothing of the prospect of working with Oscar winner Spacek on her directorial debut.
?Sissy is nice, normal, just a mom,? she says, ?and a great director too.?
