‘Hunger Games’ Soundtrack: Jennifer Lawrence’s Vocals Confirmed! – Spoilers.

The Hunger Games music producer and co-composer T. Bone Burnett has confirmed that actress Jennifer Lawrence will be heard singing in the movie and on the soundtrack. Burnett confirmed to MTV previous reports that Lawrence had recorded a song for the movie.

“Yeah, we did,” Burnett said when MTV asked if Lawrence had recorded anything in the studio. “And it was beautiful. She did great. She’s singing great. Killer actor too.”

(Source: MTV.com) Burnett’s confirmation follows a blog post in June from the website of Echo Mountain Recording Studio in North Carolina, detailing Burnett’s in-studio work with Lawrence. The post has since been deleted and Lawrence’s musical contribution has not been confirmed. After our chat with Burnett on Tuesday at the “Big Lebowski” reunion in New York, though (SPOILER ALERT), we know the 21-year-old actress in fact recorded “Rue’s Lullaby,” a song Katniss sings after Rue, a young tribute in the Games, is mortally wounded.

“Yeah, we did that. We recorded that,” Burnett said about “Rue’s Lullaby.” “And it’ll be coming out soon.”
