Great news for all of you, who love Jennifer and Bradley working together! You know for sure that in November they filmed together David O. Russell?s The Silver Linings Playbook. Now it?s time for Serena. Obviously, Jennifer will play Serena.
A lot of online movie sources are reporting that Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence will reteam for Serena, based on Ron Rash?s 2008 novel. Great director, Darren Aronofsky was previously attached to direct ?Serena? with Angelina Jolie starring. Now, Susanne Bier (who won an Oscar for ?In A Better World?) will direct. Bradley Cooper spoke with ComingSoon.net about going to Prague to work with Bier last week at the Sundance Film Festival, so I believe it?s true :)
Plot: The year is 1929, and newlyweds George and Serena Pemberton travel from Boston to the North Carolina mountains where they plan to create a timber empire. Although George has already lived in the camp long enough to father an illegitimate child, Serena is new to the mountains, but she soon shows herself to be the equal of any man, overseeing crews, hunting rattle-snakes, even saving her husband’s life in the wilderness. Together this lord and lady of the woodlands ruthlessly kill or vanquish all who fall out of favor. Yet when Serena learns that she will never bear a child, she sets out to murder the son George fathered without her. Mother and child begin a struggle for their lives, and when Serena suspects George is protecting his illegitimate family, the Pembertons’ intense, passionate marriage starts to unravel as the story moves toward its shocking reckoning.
What do you think about the plot? I love it, I think that the movie could be interesting. I can’t wait for the photos from the set…
Apart from that, The Hollywood Reporter has posted something interesting for X-Men: First Class fans! (haha, so me) :)
According to THR, Emma Watts renewed her contract as 20th Century Fox production president until 2015, it was revealed that Fox has closed deals for Matthew Vaughn and the cast of X-Men: First Class to return for the forthcoming sequel. Vaughn joins previously-announced collaborators Bryan Singer (X-Men and X2), who is producing, and Simon Kinberg, who wrote Sherlock Holmes, but perhaps more importantly to fans of the franchise, the critically-reviled X-Men: The Last Stand.
Any ideas when the shooting will start? :) Jennifer, Michael and the rest of the cast has full schedule for this year…
